As part of Raanana's 85^th anniversary celebrations and as a token of appreciation of the city's senior population, the Raanana Municipality is offering a series of performances designed specifically for this population, entitled: "Senior Friday-Saturday". Among the performances will be musical evenings, entertainment, lectures, current events, etc.

The series is scheduled for 4.5.07 – 26.5.07 and will be opened with a musical event with the Reut Choir and poet Haim Hefer, this Friday, 4.5.07 at the Yad LaBanim Heichal Hatarbut Hall. The next day, there will be a lecture by Yossi Ben Ami in the Yad LaBanim Auditorium on the subject of "Photographer of Nature Moments", which will include a display of spectacular photographs from various sites from around the world.

On Friday, 11.5.07, a classical concert is scheduled at the Golden Age Club. Rivka Peled Or and Dr. Moshe Knol will perform pieces by Talman, Bach, Handel and Shubert. The performance is also scheduled for 25.5.07 at the Golden Age Club.

On Saturday, 12.5.07, a performance entitled "Laugh, Because Time is Short" is scheduled at the Yad LaBanim Auditorium. The performance will be given by psychologist, Dr. Ilana Ben Dov, and will focus on problems related to seniors, their love life, etc.

The "Sculpting a Dream" dance performance by Limor and Anat, is scheduled for Friday, 18.5.07, at the Golden Age Club. The performance includes stories and audience participation. The next day, there will be a current events panel, "Shabbat-Iton".

On Saturday, 26.5.07, a meeting with actress and story teller, Bilha Toren, will take place at the Yad LaBanim Auditorium. The event will present a number of stories for the audience, relating to love and comedy.

All the performances are free and the audience should come early to ensure their seats.
