An exhibition by Bianca Eshel-Gershoni is scheduled to open at the Yad LaBanim Municipal Gallery.  Bianca Eshel-Gershoni received an award for life achievement in the field of plastic arts from the Ministry of Culture and Sports in 2009.  Her artwork from 1980-2010 will be on display.

The artist’s work is unique in the world of Israeli art.  Since the 1980s, her work reflects her as a pioneer Israeli post modernist artist, who does not hesitate to break convention, cross borders, and mix fields and styles.

Her work is characterized by fantasy, instinct and sensuality.  It is a dynamic collection of shapes that tends to be chaotic, using common images and objects to create a imaginary world of ancient rituals and ceremonies, magic and death, together with short personal feminine stories, which together comprise her personal mystique over the year.
