The Golden Age Club, the Raanana Municipality’s senior citizen’s club, is offering a unique and first of its kind program – a series of Israel National Trail hikes for senior hiking enthusiasts.  The program features 8 daily hikes and two 2-day hikes (including overnight accommodation).  Accompanying these hikes, which are 10-15 km. per day, will be a professional tour guide, who will help expand the seniors’ knowledge of Israel from various aspects:  the natural flora and its uses, the geology, history, etc.

The Israel National Trail traverses the entire country, from Dan to Taba and includes 940 kilometers of natural landscape.  The trail enables one to continuously hike from Dan to the Eilat Bay, taking in the Israeli experience in an exciting and direct manner, passing through a variety of landscapes and sites.

The hikes will be guided by Dr. Hagai Amitzur, a professional Israeli tour guide and researcher.
An orientation meeting with the guide is scheduled for Sunday, 19/9/10 at 13:30 in the Noam Hall.  The price of the series (including accommodations and entrance to sites):  NIS 390 X 5 payments.
