MICKIE HIRSCH EXHIBITION

A NEW EXHIBITION AT THE GALLERY BY THE LAKE IN RAANANA PARK: THE ROMANCE IN ISRAELI BEAUTY MICKIE HIRSCH – PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

The romance in Israeli beauty and all it entails, nature which encompasses tranquility, energy, color, relationships and romance, are expressed by flowers and plants. They attract us to a fascinating beauty and a natural integration which is untouched by human hands.

The integration of light and nature reveals a hidden world to us and provides us with an amazing experience which exudes romance in all directions.

As an artist who lives in a lookout in the Galilee, Hirsch enjoys an amazing landscape which enables him to convey a different aspect of nature, including optimism, romance and brotherhood. The photographs are full of life and project positive energies and a great deal of nurturing and happiness.

Mickie Hirsch was born in Poland to Holocaust survivors. He immigrated to Israel at the age of 3. After completing his studies at the Technion, he spent most of his life working in the industry. For over 20 years, he painted landscapes, people and a combination of the two. Between the years 1978-1980, he studied painting at the Emek Yizreel College near Afula and in 1981-1982, he studied drawing at the Haifa College.

The transition from art to photography resulted from a need to search for the truth and the beauty in his creation. He was attracted to the strong element of color and to the fascinating beauty of the flowers and the plants. Their integration is natural, and the ensuing romance radiates in all directions - without the touch of human hands.

Mickie Hirsch, who currently lives in Mitzpeh Michmanim in the Galilee, enjoys an intoxicating landscape and he portrays optimism, hope, romantic relationships, tranquility and brotherhood.

The exhibition at the Gallery by the Lake in Raanana Park will open on 15.2.07 at 17:00 and continue from 15.2.07 to 28.3.07.

Opening hours: Sun – Thurs: 10:00 – 18:00, Fridays 10:00 to 14:00 and Saturdays: 10:00 – 19:00.
