“Educator’s Day - 2010” was celebrated this week with a series of events and activities designed to empower the status of the teacher in the municipal education system.  The Raanana Municipality in cooperation with the parents committees organized empowerment activities to pay tribute to the educational faculty in both the preschools and schools.  Educator’s Day is the first event of its kind initiated by the Education Ministry and was held in memory of Yanosh Korschak’s educational approach, in order to raise public awareness to the role of the educator and his significance for the child’s life and his responsibilities in our era.
