The Gymnastrada 2010 is a spectacular sporting event featuring the best gymnastics and acrobatics teams and will once again be hosted in Raanana.

The event will be held on 6.2.10 at 20:15, in the Aviv Sports Auditorium.

The Raanana Municipality and the Gymnastrada will host the Russian Gymnastics team – gymnastics world champions, for the second consecutive year.  The team is comprised of 14 gymnasts and their coaches.  It is considered to be one of the best teams in the world and frequently participates in international competitions and shows.

The team will arrive next month for a week, and its members will be hosted by members of the General Gymnastics team in Raanana and they will tour the various sites in Israel.

This year , the best gymnastics, acrobatics teams and dance and jazz troupes will take part in the Gymnastrada, including Raanana’s General Gymnastics, which was established 11 years ago and represents the city at many events in Israel and abroad.  Joining the team will be teams from Hod Hasharon, Mazkeret Batya, Modiin-Reut-Macabim, Alfei Menashe and Hadera.

All proceeds from the event go to Keren Roi Lo Echsar Foundation, on behalf of Raanana’s needy students.  The event held by the Municipal Sports Authority will be attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree.
