:For the 9th consecutive year, 2,500 parents and children, who are campers in the Supplementary Education Division’s Dreamy Summer Camp program, packed the Raanana Park Amphitheater to see the spectacular show – “Opening the Summer” – with Raanana children and the Children Channel stars.

: The event was attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree and Deputy Mayor Aryeh Friedman, director of the Informal Education Administration, as well as members of the city council.
The event that has become a Raanana tradition, marks the end of the first of the three sessions of the 36 municipal summer camps, offered throughout the summer vacation. The programs are of the highest quality and level of service and act as educational milestones for the younger generation.
The summer camp program is the highlight of the Supplementary Education Division’s year long activity and there are camps in a variety of fields: dance, music, art, hi-tech and science, computers, soccer, basketball, musicals, survival, environmental protection etc.
The event was opened by the Pninei Hasharon Troupe; the Supplementary Education 2010 entertainment troupe, followed by Efrochei Raanana – Pitzponim, Ktantanim and Neurim. The highlight of the evening was “The Children’s Channel City Summer 2010 show - The Real Place”– hosted by Tal Moseri, Kobi Mahat, Raz Shapira, Meirav Feldman Don Lennie Gabai and Moshik Galamin, who thrilled the children, getting them up on their feet dancing. And of course, there were also fireworks.
This week, the second summer camp session began for: soccer, martial arts, nature animals and experiences, Like Grownups, sports, tennis, art, drumming, cinema, To Be a Star, magic and tricks camps and summer courses.
