: Dear Residents,
In the coming days, preparatory work will begin for the construction of an interchange at the North Raanana Junction, which will be executed by the National Roads Authority.
The preparatory work, which will primarily be conducted in landscaped areas, will include laying a drainage pipe on the northern side of Weizmann Street, between the North Raanana Junction and Atidim Street. This work is expected to last seven months.
As part of the construction conducted by the National Roads Authority, a number of trees may be moved or taken down, which will be coordinated with an agronomist and with the approval of the JNF. In the event that trees need to be taken down, new trees will be planted in their place.
Traffic arrangements will be modified during the construction until the interchange is completed. The North Raanana Junction will be moved more to the north, and will be located on Highway 4 using a temporary bypass. The work to move the junction and the construction of its temporary bypass will last six months.
After the preparatory work is concluded, the construction of the actual interchange and development of the landscape will commence and is expected to last two years.
We apologize for any inconvenience and disruptions to traffic that will be caused to Raanana residents and visitors to the area, during this construction. The Raanana Municipality will make every effort to minimize the disruptions as much as possible.
The North Raanana Interchange is very essential to the improvement of the road infrastructure and the areas' drainage, and will significantly ease the traffic in this area, for the benefit of residents of the entire region.
