The program is in its 9th year and is designed to promote and provide equal opportunities to elementary school students

About 60 students in grades 3 to 6 from Raanana’s elementary schools have recently completed the YRF Program for the advancement of students.

The program, initiated by the Youth Renewal Fund (YRF) was conducted at the city’s schools for the 9th consecutive year, as part of its philosophy of encouraging personal excellence and reaching potential in its student population and providing equal opportunities in education to all students.

In this spirit, the Fund has set as its goal to enable every child to reach his inherent potential by providing tutoring in subjects such as mathematics, Hebrew and English.

Throughout the school year, the students studied three times a week in small groups of up to 10 students at Yavneh School.  The lessons were taught by YRF teachers and accompanied by the YRF program coordinator.

The closing ceremony was attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree at Aviv High School as well as the director of Youth Renewal Fund, Galit Tolenado, Education Division Director, department managers, parents and students.

During the ceremony, prizes for excellence were awarded to three students for their diligence, determination and investment over the year.

Mayor Nahum Hofree:  “Raanana’s educational vision believes that each student has potential and strives to help him realize his talents.  Through the help of this program, we enable many young people to reach achievement and it is the key to their future success.”
