: About 2,000 parents, children and educators packed the Raanana Amphitheater to watch the spectacular performance “Singing, Dancing and Instruments in the Park” organized by the Supplementary Education Division of the Informal Education Administration.
The traditional annual event is held each summer and includes talented young Raanana children who take part in municipal frameworks during the school year. The event was opened by children of the “Dance School” in a dance entitled “Flag Procession” originally performed at Raanana’s 17th annual children’s song festival. The “Kolot Hazamir” Choir also took part and performed the “Gypsy Song”, the “Dove Song”, “Take the Road” and “Amen”. Efrochei Raanana Neurim, the 2010 Supplementary Education Department’s dance troupe, performed the dance entitled “Come”. Efrochei Raanana Ktantanim, the younger children’s dance troupe performed a dance entitled “Israeli Summer”.
Other performances included the “Horah Raanana” dance troupe in the dance entitled “Energy”; the “Pninei Hasharon” Troupe with the songs “Sixty Years Old” and “Lets Make a Holiday” and “Efrochei Raanana Pitzponin” in the dance entitled “Rain”. At the end of the event, the schools’ dance troupes and children from the Dance School appeared in a Fiddler on the Roof medley.
The international trumpeter, Eric Davidov and his band performed musical arrangements from his new performance “Virtuosity” with Soprano soloist, Klair. Guest performer, Lee Ron of Herzliya performed a number of songs.
The event was attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree; City Manager, Amir Shutzman and city council members.
