: Students of the ETGAR class at Raanana’s Aviv High School will complete the “Living with Contradictions” Project this week and will present their special projects at the school.
The project was the joint effort of the school, the Municipality’s social services division and artist, Miri Hargash. It was designed to give teens the tools to cope with difficulties common in adolescence in emotional, scholastic and social spheres.
In the program, which was started this year, 17 tenth graders participated and experienced personal and group processes, with a focus on their self image, processing their feelings, finding their place in the group, etc. The sessions were held for two hours each week for 12 weeks and included creating masks as an expression of their “inner self”, creating personal portraits using silhouettes, etc.
This week, a final ceremony for the project was held and was attended by the Education Division Director and department managers, students, parents and the school faculty.
