This is an increase of 4% in the rate of eligibility for matriculation diploma as compared to last year’s statistic

The city of Raanana continues to lead at the forefront of educational endeavor!  Last week’s Education Ministry statistics indicated that Raanana was ranked fifth nationally in its rate of eligibility for a matriculation diploma for 2009.

Raanana – is the leader in the Sharon region in terms of matriculation diploma eligibility!  The rate of those eligible for a matriculation diploma (who are in the 12th grade and live in the city) was 78.58% in 2009.  Raanana is the leading city in the Sharon in terms of its eligibility ranking and there was an increase of 4% over the previous year’s statistics.

Raanana has the lowest drop-out rate in the country!  In addition to the high matriculation eligibility ranking, Raanana also boasts the lowest drop-out rates in grades 9-12 – 1.3% for 2007-2008!

Raanana has a unique non-dropout policy, whereby the municipal education system includes all the Raanana students in its municipal educational frameworks. It provides an optimal solution for each student, according to his/her needs, in order to enable each child to maximize his/her talents and potential.  This policy is expressed in the high eligibility for the matriculation diploma at the city’s high schools!

Raanana – one of the highest rates of resident children who study in the city!  This statistic reflects the municipal philosophy that all Raanana’s students must be included in the municipal frameworks, both state and state religious, which offer a wealth of quality programs to help each student maximize his/her potential and to strive for excellence according to his/her individual needs.

Mayor Nahum Hofree:  “Raanana’s municipal education system is unique in that it accepts all of Raanana’s students according to its non-dropout policy, offering them an optimal educational solution to help them attain their matriculation diploma, while maintaining the city’s status as one of Israel’s leaders in matriculation diploma success rates.  We are proud of our students’ achievements and will continue to encourage and promote scholastic excellence as well as contribution and giving back to the community.  Over the years, Raanana has succeeded in becoming a leader thanks to its investment in education and we will continue to position investment in education at the top of the public list of priorities, as part of our desire to reach higher and higher achievements.”
