At the end of the tournament, in which 11 schools took part, the boys and girls teams of the same schools (Shaked, Yachdav) made it to the final for the first time.

Yachdav won Shaked, 33:24 in the girls’ final.

Opening the boys’ game, the Mor Metrowest High School basketball team was given a round of applause for their performance in the high school league final.

Shaked won Yachdav, 42:29 in the boys’ final.

Mayor Nahum Hofree presented the trophies to the winning players.  Taking part in the ceremony were the Sport Department Manger, Meir Bernstein; City Council member, Sima Perry and Yaniv Green -  Israel basketball player and member of Tel Aviv Macabi Electra.

Mayor Nahum Hofree:  “My warmest congratulations to the young players who have demonstrated their impressive athletic ability, professionalism, seriousness and investment.  We will continue to develop and encourage both competitive and popular sports as a way of life.
