RAANANA'S STATE OF AFFAIRS:  A DIVISION DIRECTORS' FORUM HEADED BY CITY MANAGER, AMIR SHUTZMAN, IS SURVEYING RAANANA'S STREETS TO FORMULIZE EFFICIENCY PROPOSALS DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THE CITY'S APPEARANCE.

City Manager, Amir Shutzman, is becoming familiarized with the city. Once every two weeks, the City Manager hits the streets, along with a forum of directors of the engineering and parks and recreation divisions, to take a look at Raanana's "state of affairs", in order to determine how to improve its appearance and the quality of life of its residents.

At the end of each inspection, a letter is sent to the residents of that particular street, which specifies the actions the Municipality will take as a result of the inspection and it invites them to contact the municipality with any issue or idea. In addition, the City Manager has asked the residents, who have structural problems related to their property, to repair them - in order to improve the street's appearance. In the coming months, the directors' forum, headed by the City Manager will visit all the city's neighborhoods and streets.

The Raanana Municipality has designated the month of March as the Municipal Cleanliness Month. During this month, a campaign will be organized to raise the public's level of awareness to the issue of municipal cleanliness. Instead of handing out tickets, the inspectors will hand out flyers to residents, explaining the laws related to the collection of lawn trimmings, garbage and dog waste. Residents who are repeat offenders will be fined ( a double fine).

The Raanana Municipality requests that the city's residents cooperate and help maintain a clean city; to put out and sort lawn trimmings according to the regulations; to throw out the bags of garbage directly into the garbage cans and not next to them; and to use the recycling centers. The city's residents are asked to use the "Dog Poop" stations which are located on the city's streets, which hold bags for collecting their dogs' waste. In the event that you find the stations are out of bags, please contact the Municipal Moked 107.
