Students at Ariel school in Raanana celebrated Purim by safeguarding the planet.

Last Wednesday, the students came to school dressed in costumes made only of recyclable material. Instead of being thrown away, these materials were turned into beautiful costumes – showing how materials can be reused.

This unique Purim activity is just one of the many ways the school and students recycle materials in order to reduce the amount they throw away. The school has started recycling corners in each classroom as well as for the entire school where students can recycle bottles, plastic materials and paper.  Students also create compost in the school.
