The municipal camp that ends this week, offers children a variety of activities focusing on sports, environmental protection and arts and crafts

About 800 children are participating in the Avivit Camp and the network of Batei Hatalmid afternoon programs during the Passover holiday produced by the Informal Education Administration’s Supplementary Education Division.

Avivit Camp is designed for children in preschool and grades 1 to 6 and is a direct continuation of the Batei Hatalmid programs that are offered all year long.

The camp is run at Hayovel, Hadar, Bilu, Ziv, Dekel and Shaked Elementary Schools for five days of fun and enrichment from 21.3.10 to 25.3.10.  The children watched the musical, “Child’s Play”, participated in experiential workshops including:  kite building, a chocolate festival, nature and arts and crafts, a fun sports day, and a field school activity.

Children at the afternoon program participated in the “Science, Art and Environment Day” at Eshkol Hapais that included a performance and workshops.

In addition, children are also attending the basketball camp at Dekel School, and Hand Ball at the Hadar School where the children learn basic skills of the game, participate in individual and group competitions and special training programs.
 
New for This Year:  Dungeons and Dragons camp for beginners and advanced held at Eshkol Hapais, which offers the city’s children a variety of quality extracurricular activities.
