Thousands of participants, led by Mayor Nahum Hofree, took part in the traditional Adloyada Purim Parade, held this past Friday along Raanana’s main street, Ahuza Street.

Leading the parade was Mayor Nahum Hofree, dressed up as a “green” man on a bicycle accompanied by Deputy Mayors Aryeh Friedman and Ronit Weintraub.

The Adloyada was postponed by a week due to inclement weather conditions.  It has been a city tradition for over twenty years and is a creative-community project that incorporates various artistic fields and students, parents and teachers take part in the preparations.

The theme of this year’s Purim parade was “Carnival of Nature’s Colors” and included various floats and costumes based on the subjects of environmental protection, sustainability, and a love of the Land of Israel and nature.  Participating in the parade were students, dance troupes and school bands.
