The Raanana Municipality, in conjunction with Eshkolot Thinking Ltd. will hold a "thinking games olympics" designed for first – sixth grade students on Tuesday 15.5.07, at: 17:00 at the Hayovel School Beit Hatalmid.

The Thinking Games Olympics is designed to encourage children to participate in thinking games and to facilitate the opening of extracurricular activities related to this subject. A variety of thinking and strategy games will be featured, including: the "corridor competition" – game strategies for all ages, "Catch the Memory" – memory games for grades 2-3; "Challenge" – an individual game for single players, where each child advances according to his own pace, with the difficulty level gradually rising, and "Head to Head "– games of strategy suited for two players in grades 4-6.

The Thinking Games Olympics is suitable for all children, those who are already familiar with the games and those who have not yet played them.

This olympics event teaches values and a spirit of fair play, including: mutual respect; accepting those who are different, fair play; recognition and internalizing the rules and accepting the authority of the judge. Over the years, these games have become a powerful integrative tool, which bridges cultures and ideas and fosters good communication skills.
