A youth event at Raanana’s Municipal Tennis Center that will include showcase games with players from the Israeli tennis team – Tzipi Obelizer and Harel Levi

In the spirit of the Raanana Municipality activity to promote popular and competitive sports among its children and youth, the Municipality will hold its annual, open tennis event for the public at large, in order to introduce the younger generation to this sport.

As part of the event, the municipality and the Municipal Tennis Center staff will be on the look out for young people who have what it takes to enter this sport field.

The tennis event is scheduled for Tuesday, 8.6.10, from 17:00 and children in grades 1 – 6 are invited to take part in the different sports activities and will be treated  to unique showcase games with Israel’s top tennis stars:  Tzippi Obelizer and Harel Levi.  The Municipal Tennis Center coaches will be on hand to conduct professional ability tests.

This young tennis player event is organized as part of the Municipal Tennis Center’s general philosophy of excellence and investment in the next generation of tennis players.  The tennis center invests a great deal in its competitive program which focuses on development and training of young tennis players, who will become Israel’s tennis stars for the future.

The Municipal Tennis Center is considered one of Israel’s finest and most innovative centers and includes 10 courts and another 4 under construction.  At the center, there are currently 520 young players in training, along with 200 adult members.

At the center, there is training on all levels, from the age of 6, tennis matches, tournaments for families, etc.  Along with an emphasis on excellence among the younger generation, there is also an emphasis on community involvement.
