The Raanana Municipality celebrates the Seniors’ Event Month, held annually in the city as a tribute to its senior population.  The diverse events are organized by the Social Services Division’s Department for the Senior Population, in conjunction with the aging forum, with its members from the various associations, organizations and institutions which deal with the senior population in Raanana.

An open house for seniors at the Harry and Janet Weinberg Center for Employment, Fitness and Leisure, will be held on Tuesday 4.11.08 between 16:00 and 20:00.  The event will include a laughter yoga workshop and a performance of Israeli music.

A  morning of fun for seniors at the Raanana Country Club, on Sunday, 9.11.08., between the hours of 8:30 and 12:30.  The event will include various athletic activities.  Advance registration is required!

A workshop on maintaining and improving memory in the third generation will be held at the Macabi Healthcare Services’ Rehabilitation Institute, given by Ms. Anat Levit, director of the occupational therapy department.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday 12.11.08 at 11:00 in the morning.

Water activity at Ahuzat Bayit – designed especially for seniors will be held on Mondays on 17.11.08 and 1.12.08 at 10:30 in the morning.  Advance registration is required!

The main event will be held on Wednesday, 3.12.08 at 16:30, in the Yad Labanim Auditorium, and will include a performance by singer Yelena Grushkov, who won first place in Kochav Nolad in the older singer category. Grushkov will appear in her show, “Wonderful World” and will be accompanied by musicians.
