Mayor Nahum Hofree:  "The Raanana Municipality is always thinking of its residents.  This new service will offer residents the opportunity to enjoy a wide basket of services.  This is another important step in expanding the municipal services and making them more efficient."

The Raanana Municipality considers its residents to be the focus of the municipal endeavor and is concerned about their welfare:

For the first time, the municipality will issue resident cards that will enable residents to enjoy a variety of discounts and special benefits, exclusive to Raanana residents holding the card.  These include:  free parking at Raanana Park, free parking and special allotted times reserved only for Raanana residents at the public parking lots, discounts at municipal events and cultural performances and discounts at the municipal library.  According to the program, the card will also entitle residents to discounts at the city's shops.

The residents will be issued different cards, according to their age group:
• The Young resident card –  is for ages 13 – 18
• The Resident card – is for ages 18 -60
• The Senior Resident card – is for ages 60 and older

Every Raanana resident registered as a resident of Raanana on his Ministry of Interior Identity Card will be eligible for a resident card.  Note that a resident card will not be issued to residents based on their rental agreement contract and you must update your address on the identity card at the Ministry of the Interior.

The price of the young and senior resident cards will be NIS 10 and the price of the regular resident card will be NIS 15 per resident.  The card is valid for 5 years from the date it is issued.

In addition to the cards, parking stickers will be issued for vehicles at the same stations where the resident cards will be issued.  The parking stickers will be valid for 5 years and will entitle the resident to benefits at the parking structures, according to the conditions of the parking structure.  The entrance will be free only when using both the sticker on the vehicle and the resident card together.  No fee will be charged for the vehicle sticker.

According to the plan, the municipality will begin distributing the cards after the holidays at various stations throughout the city.
