C.A.B. – The Citizens' Advice Bureau is a service provided to the resident by the Ministry of Welfare in conjunction with the Raanana Municipality.

C.A.B. helps the resident take advantage of his rights by providing counseling and guidance.  The service is free of charge and provided by volunteers who specialize in these related areas and by law students.

 

C.A.B. services are provided in the following languages:

Hebrew, English, Spanish, Russian and French.

 

C.A.B. provides assistance in the following areas:

Employee-employer relations:  workers' rights, rights after being fired, pension rights, unemployment, etc.

Pre-legal counseling – Counseling is provided by law students regarding the following issues:  work, tenant's rights, consumerism, etc.  In addition, initial one-time counseling is provided by volunteer attorneys, with regard to work related, civilian and bankruptcy issues, etc.

National Insurance – Information regarding rights, completing forms and applications.

Banking – advice regarding problems with banks.

Consumerism and communications:  Advice and handling consumer issues.

Neighbor relations – counseling and mediation.

Income Tax and VAT – Information regarding rights, initial assistance with completing forms and applications.

Assistance in contacting government ministries:  reducing the red tape, letters, completing forms.

Taxes and tariffs:  for the various authorities (municipality, broadcasting authority, etc.)

Immigration:  advice to immigrants in various languages, completing forms and writing letters.

Family and personal matters

Miscellaneous:  Assistance and guidance in financial matters, filling out forms and writing letters.
