During the past decade, the city of Raanana has become one of Israel's leaders in area of environmental protection and quality of life.  The Council for a Beautiful Israel has recognized Raanana for its efforts in maintaining a beautiful urban appearance, clean streets, beautiful parks, gardens and decorative green areas. These achievements are a direct result of the dedicated work of the city's Parks and Recreation Department, along with the assistance of Raanana's residents.
